The cabin is very nice, in a good location, relatively close to the rec center, and very peaceful. The property is in very good condition and is stocked with a number of thoughtful essentials. We really enjoyed our time at this cabin and will return for another peaceful stay.

Our vacation rental experience was smooth and exceptional! From planning to our stay! Sierra Vacation Rentals communication and detail was top notch! Our vacation home was clean, well equipped and oh so gorgeous! The furnishings were modern, clean and very well kept! The chalet itself was bright, cheerful and magazine page worthy! The view was exceptional! It was everything we wanted it to be! We will definitely be back!

This cabin is very clean and nice and is located close to Bear Valley Ski Resort.
It is well-equipped and looks exactly like the pictures provided. I believe the rental company should provide a picture of where the lockbox is located. We had a hard time finding it.
Great winter stay

Very clean. Nice amenities, including stove (did not use), refrigerator, washer/dryer, and WIFI. Responsive owners. Driveway and roads were paved nicely despite the winter storm. Close enough to Bear Valley for ski and snow play, far enough not to be entrapped by snow in the higher elevations. Overall a great stay, would stay again!

A lovely home in a beautiful setting. Clean, well appointed kitchen and the cabin had everything needed for two families (one with children) to have a great time.
A relaxing stay

My family visited on a last-minute trip in May 2023 (2 adults, 2 kids). Our usual place with Sierra Vacation was booked, so we decided to stay at Sierra Chalet. It's a beautiful home filled with everything we needed. All the beds and linens were very comfortable, and I especially enjoyed the large soaking tub. The home had lots of gear for those traveling with infants: play pen, walker, high chair, bath seat, baby gates. There were some toys & games for our kids to play together and also plenty of separate TV rooms when they needed a break from each other. All the rooms had room-darkening shades, which worked really well. We ended our evenings with dinners on the BBQ grill (gas grill) and movies in front of the fireplace. In theory, the home is a 3-level home with lots of stairs. Something to keep in mind for travelers with mobility issues. It's a 5-minute drive from our favorite dinner spot, The Lube Room, and Camp Connell General Store. A 10-minute drive to Big Trees, White Pines Lake, Sierra Logging Musuem.About 15-min drive to a larger grocery store
Renting homes for a couple of decades during summer and winter months, and this property is 1 of maybe 2 rentals over the years that is as advertised and pictured. Clean, ready on time, and just an overall great property for the summer vacation family.
I will say the master King and second bedroom Queen are different mattresses than we sleep on, so if you are not a fan of foam and or soft and or sleeping on a mattress topper, this may help you set expectations.
Another touch that wasn't a deal breaker, but would benefit, is for the 2nd and 3rd bedroom to include TVs.
We cooked, we grilled, we washed, we just utilized many of the amenities of the property.
Sourgrass Day Use area is a 12-15 minute downhill drive on a quiet road, which offers amazing riverside access during summertime months.
The summertime Recreation Center pool closes around 4:30 PM for the days Sun-Thurs when we stayed. Wonderful and friendly, down to earth staff at the pool.
I am contemplating returning since access from Highway 4 is so easy from Contra Costa County.
If you plan on eating at The Lube Room, just outside of the HOA boundary, I would not expect a fresh hamburger patty dinner. Calamari was also foodservice grade and rubbery. We cooked most of our meals and it added value during these trying times, but defiantly stopped in Farmington at the Taco Truck Tacos Correra for the best working mans Al Pastor burrito. Spicy salsa is very spicy and is best served on the side.
We utilized the Save Mart Grocery Store in Angels Camp during our drive up to Arnold, and also gassed up at the 76 just west of Arnold, on the way down the hill.
Big Trees State Park has easy parking and great accessible trails from the parking lot, plus additional trails and Stanislaus River access a short 10 minute drive in to the park. Pro Tip: check out a State Parks Pass from your local Library for free.
