We loved the peacefulness of the location. The cabin definitely felt like a home away from home. It's clean and well kept. The only thing is the driveway can be a little tricky, other then that we love it.

Plenty of beds and space to use as base for skiing at Bear Valley. Good food options in Arnold and Dorrington.

The property management rental service was very prompt and helpful. The cabin was in great shape, and was in a very nice location. This was our first time staying in Dorrington, and really enjoyed easy access the white pines lake, sour Grass they use on the river, and most of all Lake Alpine. We will definitely rent cabins in Dorrington again, and use Sierra management Rental service!!

The house is very spacious and well maintained. I love that it has two private bedrooms and a huge loft, worked really well for us. The only downside is the steep driveway, was a bit nerve-wracking when it got icy, but ultimately was okay.

It's a nice comfortable cabin with all the amenities and enough sleeping space for our family of 6.
One downside is that due to an extraordinary snowstorm the smaller side streets couldn't be cleaned fast enough, so we ended up mostly sledding in the driveway. Still, this was our kids first time in the snow, so the trip was a success.

And speaking of the driveway, it's kinda steep, so be mindful about how you'd get out.

This house was absolutely perfect for us! The neighborhood was quiet, the air was crisp and clean and the fire pit in the yard was the highlight of the trip. Thank you! My only issue was the price.

Overall the cabin was nice and cozy and very warm. The rooms were nice and clean and so were the kitchen wares (we did a ton of cooking) The bathrooms were clean (toilet very small). The shower curtain in the downstairs bathroom was shockingly disgusting! While everything else appeared to be cleaned this shower curtain was definitely not! It smelled so bad like urine and locker room I threw it away. I went to the local market and replaced it and left a spare in the other bathroom. THat the only complaint I had. Other than that had a blast and loved the cabin. It was a little hard to find but we had a blast.

I loved the quiet neighborhood and playing cards out on the deck surrounded by trees. It felt very homey like Grandma's cabin with quilts hanging on the walls which my daughter admired.

House was roomy, comfortable, and had all the extras we needed (wifi, tv, great couch)

This house was not as nice as others we have rented in the area, especially given the price. The location is great, but the house was much smaller than expected. The kitchen was hard for more than 1 person to be in at a time. The main living room was too small, too. On the other hand, the sleeping areas are quite spacious. The house would be ideal for 1 family of 4. We are a family of 5 plus we had another couple there, so that made the space challenging. Also the driveway was very steep and curved--we almost couldn't make it out in the ice. We actually had to remove our chains to get traction out of the driveway. The yard itself and the porch were nice.

This is the second time we've rented Knotty Pine, and we simply love the place - the accommodations, the convenience, the comfort. We'll be back next year.

The 6 of us (2 Grandparents 2 parents 2 kiddos ages 5 & 7) had a wonderful stay at the Knotty Cabin!! It had everything we needed. We enjoyed the deck every morning for breakfast and every evening after a busy day. Beds were comfortable and the kids loved the bunk beds! Access to the lake was great as it was a beautiful place to relax and play. Thanks for the stay!!

Lovely and peaceful! Our stay was too short... wanted at least another day or two to enjoy the lake and the lovely back deck!!! The cabin was nicely laid out with everything we needed for our cooking needs as well as comfort needs. I would highly recommend this spot for a small group getaway.

We have stayed in many different cabins in the Lakemont Pines community, but the Knotty Pine cabin was by far the best. Clean, comfortable, beautiful deck, great kitchen, great bedrooms ... but by far the best thing: the AC! We'll be back!

We like everything about this home. The beds are comfortable, the furnishings too. It has everything we need and we love to enjoy the lake in the summer.

We stayed at our rental for the weekend with my son, his wife and their two kids. We were pleasantly surprised with the convenience and efficiency of the house. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the tools we needed for cooking meals and the house was designed well for use with a family in mind. It was located centrally so we could go to Big Trees state park and still have enough time to go to the lake and chill there with our family. Can’t wait to go back!!

We had a lovely time at the Knotty Pine. It has everything we needed... nice mattresses, clean kitchenware. The entrance is very accessible which is a big plus for me also... just drive up and walk in/no stairs! It's very close to the beautiful Lakemont Pines lake which we enjoyed every day of our stay.

Everything inside and on the deck was perfect - well-appointed and cozy. But the weeds out front really don't present well when you first arrive.

Awesome stay.

We had a wonderful time in Arnold. The house is amazing. Very clean and comfortable. The back patio is right next to the neighbours back patio so there is not a lot of privacy. Other than being able to see the neighbours on their patio the location was great. Close to hiking and the HOA lake which was a lot of fun for the kids.

This cabin is exactly as described. It’s so cute and cozy. Very nicely furnished and decorated. Kitchen was fully stocked. Owners are extremely accommodating and communication was very quick. Located close to a lake with a beach and a supermarket which is a huge plus. I highly recommend this property.

ood location, short trip to Around grocery store, but also convenient to go into Murphys. Kitchen is well equipped and linen quality and quantity was also very good. Small but efficient bedrooms, we had plenty of space for 5 adults. Host added special decorations for our Thanksgiving stay which added to our celebration. Good hiking from the property and quiet neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again.

This was literally a last minute booking thru Vrbo. As it was last minute Dorrington Realty was able to accommodate us with last minute arrival. We truly enjoyed our stay. Really had that cabin look and feel. 4th of July weekend was very pleasant. Enough room for the whole family. Cabin had everything you needed, fully stocked. We will definitely cone back.

Pleasant, comfortable house. A few minor issues. The Nest thermostat wasn’t working when we arrived. Had to call the management company who stated that this had been a problem for awhile. The rep guided us to the “emergency” thermostat, and how to hook it up. Deck floodlight is not fully functional. 10am checkout time is too early. The cabin’s informational binder states it is 11am. Apparently the binder needs to be reviewed and updated.

Great cabin in a great location! Easy access to White Pines Lake but also not too far from Lake Alpine and the Utica and Union Reservoirs. The local watering hole, The Lube Room, is amazing and family-friendly.

This was a great house and was very comfortable for our family of 4, with an extra set of grand parents joining us for a couple of days.

The kitchen was well stocked and I especially appreciated the beautiful handmade mugs (maybe the owner is a potter?)

I’d definitely choose to stay here again in the future!

The house is great! The wifi isn’t, and you should bring all the food you’ll need including oil, salt, pepper etc, because there isn’t any there to share.

A nice place to stay, good location. Beds quite firm, we prefer softer ones. Nice addition of sheets and towels, but no kitchen towels. Kitchen fairly well stocked, but be aware no foil, napkins or baggies so bring your own. I was glad I brought my own sponge since there was nothing to clean with. Master bedroom a bit odd with 3 beds in it. Loved the deck!

The cabin was located in a great area! We mountain biked, hiked and explored all weekend! It was a great trip.

The house itself is quite beautiful, although very outdated furniture and amenities. I did not mind that so much but if you’re looking for updated that may be an issue for you. Honestly, the biggest issue for us was the fact that there was no air-conditioning. When I went back and read the amenities I noticed air conditioning was not listed but of course that was not some thing I was looking for when I booked the house. It gets so hot in the summer up in the mountains I just assumed there would be air. The house pretty much stayed at 82° the entire time we were there. It went down only a couple degrees at night. This would have been bearable if there were fans in every room but there was not. There was one small broken fan in a closet downstairs and one portable fan that was working in the living room. There’s also a ceiling fan in the living room which helps only if you’re directly under it because the ceiling is so high. Leaving doors and windows open did nothing because there was no breeze whatsoever. No drapes. When the portable fan was on us,it was bearable but again there was only one. I don’t see why there wouldn’t be fans like that in every room if you knew you didn’t have air conditioning. Fans are pretty inexpensive and having fans all over the house would’ve made the trip completely different. Otherwise it’s a very beautiful and quiet area. Lots of squirrels running around and we saw a coyote and a bat. The deck is great to sit out on. I wish they had reclining chairs that you could lay back on, that would be nice and perhaps more comfortable chairs around the table. There was a nice wood table on the deck but it had cheap plastic chairs around it and one bench, neither of which were super comfortable but of course doable. It was still a very nice time. The heat made it impossible to be in the upstairs area and loft which was a bummer since my daughter was looking forward to making that area her ow
