Great location, beautiful home with easy access. Clean but some kitchen supplies needed washing before use.

The cabin was very nice. It is advertised as sleeping 11, but that is a bit of a stretch. Fortunately only 7 of were able to come and it was perfect for 7. I am not sure but maybe one of the couches made out into a bed. The kitchen was modern and well equiped. It was nice to have so many bathrooms. Everything was clean except the sheets on one of the beds had not been washed and smelled of BO. But inspite of that I highly recommend it. It was very quiet and peaceful there. Very little traffic going by and it was a holiday week.

This was the perfect house/cabin for 3 couples; each of us had our own room and bathroom. The kitchen is big and very well equipped, and we enjoyed cooking in it. The living area is very open with a comfortable sectional and a nice conversation area with two comfy chairs in front of the cozy fireplace. There was a small visual safety issue on the stairs that could be fixed with simply placing a small area carpet on the area, 2 cleaning/maintenance issues, and only one outdated hairdryer, but after our trip, all were reported to the owners for future renters. These did NOT affect our enjoyment of this beautiful property!!! Wonderful location for walking in the neighborhood, too! We'll be back!

We enjoyed our weekend stay! We were greeted by so much snow and it continued to snow. Squirrels Nest is a perfect set up for our family! We appreciate the owners renting this out to people like us who only go 1 weekend a year to the snow as a Family. Thank you!

Squirrels nest cabin us very nice, have stayed there the last couple of years. Has all the amenties we like in the kitchen. Also have access to the pool.

The management provided good customer service. A couple of our people went cross-country skiing at Bear Valley. We were able to take some nice walks around the neighborhood. We have been to Snowshoe restaurant and always enjoy their beer and food. Appreciated the fireplace! It's not far from the Big Trees State Park, which we have been to and enjoyed.

We spent last weekend in The Squirrel’s Nest and had the best experience.

Everything was as described, the house was clean, kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, etc. if you will be cooking.

The house is light and bright inside with large windows and plenty of space both inside and out.

The location was perfect. We were in town for a wedding and chose this property because we have friends in the same neighborhood.

The vacation rental management staff was exceptional, great communication, very helpful and responsive from booking through checkout!

Definitely recommend The Squirrel’s Nest and Dorrington Realty/Sierra Vacation Rentals. I, personally, can’t wait to go back.

Loved the cabin location and layout. Not happy about the closet situation. The master bedroom had no closet to use. No where to hang clothes, put shoes, store luggage. I had to hang my clothes in the utility closet. I know this is the owners right but they are not taking the renters into consideration. Also the throw rugs and area rug under the couch are a nuisance. You trip on them all the time. The seat covers on the dining chairs are a joke. They come off all the time. The cleaning needs to be done more thoroughly. The carpet under the couch and behind the chest looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in awhile. The patio lights were out but the management company fixed them right away. Sheila was very nice and helpful but I think the owners need to update some things.

We had a nice stay during late June. It was pretty hot out but the house cooled down well and the agency bought two fans when we asked if there would be any. The layout is really nice and the kitchen is really well equipped.

Make sure you go to Dorrington Realty for the keys. I went to Big Trees in Arnold at first because that was the original confirmation. You also have to make your own beds which might surprise people.

The rental is very much in line with the description. My family of 6 adults, 2 kids had a great time here, with plenty of space. The surroundings is beautiful with lots of trees, quiet neighborhood. The check in process was clear, convenient lockbox pick up on the road up to the cabin. The house overall was definitely clean, but given the pandemic, we did a quick walk through before unpacking and found the floors to be really dirty; with a crawling baby, that was a problem for us. Otherwise, the house was great, well equipped, and well located. The managing company was also very nice and responded well to our requests/questions.

Our family owns a large cabin just a few properties over. Our annual trip is getting so large these days that we’ve spilled into other surrounding cabins! The Moore is Kids Paradise cabin was perfect for my small family of 3 and 1 sister and husband. All of the comforts of home in this cozy cabin.

Family friendly

This was our second visit - we love the cabin! The game room is so much fun for kids and adults, and we enjoyed the back yard zip lines too. Interior is somewhat dated but very comfortable for a winter getaway. Dismayed by lack of tea kettle and condition of pots and pans, but no big deal. We'd love to return if the rate is reasonable, but it is creeping up. Thank you for a fun stay, we hope to come back!

The house had everything you could want with kids on a Labor Day forest getaway. We played in the yard, the play room, and watched a movie. We somehow also made time to visit the big trees and swim in the pool. Beds were pretty comfortable.

This was my first cabin rental experience, so I was surprised by a couple of things:
-linens and towels were provided as extras (had to ask) and smelled strongly of detergent and fabric softener.
-While the kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pans, and dishes, the drawers and cabinets were dirty and disorganized. Maybe that’s normal for a cabin?
-There was some Folgers coffee in the cabinet, but not enough for our whole stay. No sugar was found. I think coffee and sugar should be a standard amenity.
-The carpets and floors were not clean enough for a shoes-off policy.
-Dishwasher has come loose from the cabinet/countertop, so you had to wiggle it in place to close the door.
-Back slider has a loose up/down lock mechanism, which makes it possible to lock yourself out.
-Mattresses are old and worn. Still okay, but not like a hotel.

We had a wonderful time. The kids and adults enjoyed themselves.

This was the most fully stocked cabin we've stayed in. Tons of indoor and outdoor games for the whole family. Beautiful decks to enjoy all that mountain beauty! Super quiet area. Will definitely be back!

made last minute plans to get into some fresh air from our smoke invested Bay Area home. It was easy, communication was prompt and we got what we needed to set our internal reset buttons.

We thought it was extremely easy to select, rent, communicate and check-in to this property. The cabin was all we were hoping it would be and more. The rental company and cabin owners made us feel welcome and at home. The surrounding area was absolutely gorgeous compared to other areas in the Sierras. If this rental is ever up for sale - we would be serious buyers.

What a great way to celebrate 36 years of marriage. Our visit was just what we hoped for. Lovely cabin, perfect for a family with kids. So much to do. I wish that we had our family with us, however, the peace and quiet was just what we needed. Perfect weather, beautiful surroundings and a house filled with everything you might need. One thing you might want to look at is the garbage disposal is running very slow otherwise, it was perfect. Thank you!!!

Great location, ideal summer cabin for a family looking to spend some quality time together. I was happy with alevrything about the rebtal with the exception of the garbage situation. Due to the disposal site being closed for two days, we were forced to store our garbage inside and despite our best attempts, the smell was hard to cover. I recommend possibly renting a secure dumpster for those having big extended time frames in which the disposal site is closed.

I visited with my daughter,son-in-law and 3 grandchildren (15 year old boy and girl twins) and 8 year old little sister. Everyone found games, and activities they enjoyed doing. Cabin was great! Accurate description. It was clean, although carpet could use shampooing. Reservations was easy. Managers were helpful and professional. Beautiful lakes, rivers for fishing. Big Trees State park was wonderful highlight of weekend! Definitely will recommend to friends.

This was a great place to ride out the late season winter storm. The cabin was comfortable, plenty roomy for our family and well stocked. The kids loved the loft and spent hours playing pool and foosball. The DVD collection was unparalleled. Highly recommend.

It was great. Everything in the process went smoothly. Questions before booking were answered quickly. Cabin was just as described. They even had the heaters on and lights. The sign for the cabin address/name should be more visible.

This is a perfect cabin for two families with a lot of kids. Great activities and off of the grid, as we never were able to get the wifi to work, but that is part of the mountains. Loved the new furniture. Great Kitchen and lots of hot water. Very clean!!
We did miss the gas grill and had to go buy charcoal, but no big deal.

Our family had a fantastic vacation at Moore Big Trees. The kids had fun. The zipline at the back was especially fun. Situated in Camp Connell, this cabin is ideally located with easy access to Hwy 4. The work areas with the roof skylights on the 2nd floor were just perfect for a quiet read, focused work, with tons of natural light filling the entire area.

Big Trees Realty were very helpful, considerate and timely. Was a pleasure to work with them! Would definitely rent again through Big Trees Realty.

The cabin was amazing! A bit smaller than we thought but felt 10 times the size. Wonderful weather, warm nights and cool days in the cabin. Pool table and fooseball table kept everyone entertained. Very clean when we arrived.

Very good overall experience

We stayed at the Moore Big Trees cabin for 3 nights. The cabin is well located, about 20 min drive to Bear Valley. It has lots of entertainment including a zip line, a pool table and a huge selection of movies and games. The kids had a blast! The cabin was clean and the beds were comfortable. This is the 4th time we use Big Trees Real Estate for renting a cabin in that area, they are very friendly and accommodating. They have always provided excellent service.

We had a great time and will return. This cabin has so many fun things to do and is close to a grocery store and ski resort. It snowed the first day we were there and was so pretty. All the kids had a great time playing pool, foosball and video games on the day it was drizzly and cold. The management company is very helpful and friendly, as well.
